This shift in focus came as a reflection of his appreciation for simplicity, functionality, and instinctive human-device interactions. Isak has covered a wide range of industries and topics, from education and health to SaaS and eCommerce.

Work Experience
Product Designer
Freelance
- Led iterative product design in an agile environment for Barbarella. I built their first web-responsive multi-functional platform for scheduling beauty appointments and purchasing cosmetics. I was responsible for the end-to-end user experience, including research, identifying pain points, journey mapping, wireframing, user experience flows, art direction, UI design system, and all user interactions for the desktop and mobile-responsive platform.
- Designed a website and an online Identity for UrbanRX, an anti-aging clinic that offers customers skin-perfecting solutions. I was involved in planning and execution, everything from online research audits, journey mapping, wireframing, art direction, photography direction, micro-interactions, user interface, and web responsiveness.
- Worked on a game called Perplex for a user target keen to solve complex puzzles. From the very beginning, I researched how gamers' mental models work and used that for the business goal solutions as agreed with stakeholders. I designed the full experience, which includes the art direction, branding (name, logo, colors, and typography), journey mapping, wireframing, UI, animations, micro-interactions, and prototyped user flows. Overall, I managed to design a UX that sustains a complex gameplay model.
- Designed an all-in-one platform that enabled customers to start a business store or sell courses online. During the process, I was involved in clients' meetings to understand business goals better. My main tasks included doing research and accordingly designing the brand (logo, colors, and typography) and creating user journey maps, wireframes, user flows, and low- to high-fidelity UI. All this resulted in an easy-to-use experience with responsive web design.
Experience Designer
Honestbee
- Developed a membership program that increases customer engagement in the honestbee ecosystem. I was involved in comprehensive user research (through in-person interviews and questionnaires), which has helped us to define three different types of customers and later accommodate the needs of each group by offering various membership benefits.
- Oversaw feature usability to provide delightful user experience, aimed at giving a scan-pay-go solution for customers through an easy-to-use mobile-optimized interface. The team and I worked on wireframes and tested prototypes of various use-cases on-ground to establish a retail engagement. With this, we specified the user experience through iterations and finalized it with fidelity designs.
- Contributed to a large-scale international project focused on developing the company's food experience. My main focus was user experience and visual design, which helped people across six countries in Southeast Asia to order food online and get it delivered in 30 minutes. I took a deep dive into the SEA's most important markets to understand customers' needs. First, I gathered project requirements and then conducted collaborative research with stakeholders in Singapore. Further, I performed user testing on wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for both web and mobile. During this time, I worked with a diverse, global team of web and mobile developers to ensure smooth user experience and delivery of the final product, which improved the overall customer acquisition and experience.
UX/UI Designer
Pogon
- Designed the first educational startup platform in Macedonia, called Brainster. For the first time, users could book online and learn the most advanced professions in the world offline. The platform solved the gap of tech, design, marketing, and entrepreneurship skills, giving a new educational path that shapes the talent of Macedonian society. I did a competitive analysis and audit of EU and US region companies to understand best practices. I collected user information and developed user stories from brainstorming sessions with stakeholders that pinpointed the primary user needs. I designed medium-fidelity user flows and tested them on face-to-face sessions, gathered feedback, and delivered a high-fidelity UI/UX experience followed by sensible IA and accessibility. Apart from this, I provided the brand with a logo, colors, typography, printed collateral, and direction in photography.
- Set up a research-related platform in the Caribbean called Bioconsert (Bio Conservation Platform) that helps scientists better organize, connect, and form online communities where they can publish and share their studies. I was involved in creating the logo, colors, icons, and typography. I did audit and competitive analysis to understand similar platforms, and I translated user needs into user stories and later wireframes, which I used for testing with users and stakeholders. Upon gathered feedback, I iterated the user flows and established the UI to deliver a high-fidelity design.
- Created unique branding for the Mola boutique hotel accommodated in Skopje’s center. Having understood their vision, I built their new logo, colors, iconography, typography, and printed collateral. My knowledge was instrumental in researching the market and its direct competitors. With the data gathered through surveys, audits, and face-to-face interviews with their primary users, I was able to create their website. That improved the overall experience and raised the rating of the hotel on social media and funneled more customers through the website booking option.
Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer, and Illustrator
Kula9
- Collaborated with a big team to create a car customization and performance feature for the Volkswagen Toronto branch that provides the ability to customers to modify a car by color, engine/transmission, tiers, and interior preferences. I delivered easy-to-use mobile and web-optimized interfaces by leveraging the data provided and VW's existing UI brand guidelines.
- Designed branding for the Nordic company Rescue Juice, which redefined tech charger accessories. I held meetings with stakeholders to understand their mission and vision for the business and did research on the market to recognize how their competitor's brand is utilizing the market. That helped me design a unique brand consisting of logo, colors, typography, and packaging design with custom illustrations that sold their first product, a phone bank charger.
- Joined the first Macedonian typography school, Typekitchen, led by a famous national typographer Lasko Dzurovski. The purpose of this school was to fill in the gap of valid, authentic characters in the existing fonts for the Macedonian (Cyrillic) alphabet. There, I created a sans serif font named Mountain containing 167 letters with Latin/Cyrillic support that improved the readability and gave an authentic look to the alphabet. The font was demo-released and used by the Football Federation of Macedonia and the leading hydroelectric power producer in the country.
