Pushkar is a UX/UI designer with a focus on VR/AR digital experiences. He has years of professional design and advertising experience in some of the world’s leading design studios and ad agencies. Pushkar is currently working at a world-leading VR/AR gaming studio. His goal is to create the most immersive user experiences in virtual and augmented reality. Pushkar also teaches data visualization and human-centered design at the VFS VRAR program.

  • Data Visualization and Human Centered Design Instructor
    2019 - PRESENT
    Vancouver Film School
    • Taught data visualization, human-centered design, and portfolio development courses in the AR/VR development program (Vfs.edu/programs/vrar).
    • Created and taught a data visualization course from scratch. In this course, students utilized their programming skills and learn how to access data sets and transform them into a visualized and interactive VR/AR experiences. Students explored data visualization techniques and implement visualization pipelines.
    • Taught a human-centered design course with a focus on understanding who you are designing for and create a product that will best suit their needs. This class provides students with the foundation for creating experiences that focus on the user’s needs, goals, and behaviors.
    • Held a portfolio building workshop guiding students and recent graduates; I took a user-centered design approach to portfolios with the goal of getting an interview in the digital design industry.

  • UX/UI Designer

    • Designed the UX for a VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) for business solutions. This included creating the wireframes, personas, and user journeys to help developers, designers, and stakeholders align on the product vision.
    • Conducted various types of user research including UX flow, persona, and competition.
    • Crafted the user interface and visual design for a seamless experience. This included rapid prototyping, designing the user interactions, implementing them in Unity3D, and iterating and validating the designs by user testing.
    • User researched and collected player feedback and prioritized tasks for developers to complete the UX feedback loop.
    • Designed the UX for VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) for game development.
    • Shipped a successful VR game called Slots in deNile, Ocul.us/39f5HTK to the Oculus store; worked also on the next VR game, which is scheduled to be released on the Oculus store in January 2020.
    • Worked on a space shooter VR game scheduled to launch in January 2020 on the Oculus store.
