Toptal freelancers are top 3% from all the freelancers. The onboarding process was little slow, based on your job description, they recommend you a freelancer and schedule an interview. It took me 30 days to find a freelancer after a couple of interviews. We initially hired for 3-4 week's project but ended up keeping the freelancer for the long term on another project. The freelancers are pre-vetted for their technical, professional and general proficiency. So it was great to just have someone become part of your team instantly. About the freelancer: I have worked with many contractors over several years. Yes, the Toptal freelancers are in top 3% as they advertise. They are honest, punctual, takes little to no time to get used to your project & working culture and without a doubt best in their skill. We hired a PHP developer, the code quality was clean, well documented and followed the industry coding standard. Fees: Yes, Toptal freelancers are expensive. But you get what you pay for. Billing is easy, bills are generated automatically every 2 weeks Net 10, and paid automatically via preferred payment method. Overall. I would rate it 5/5. If you have money to spend, just hire the best freelancers, instead of going shopping around yourself and ending up paying up more money for bad code.
