Project History
Annual Sickle Cell Disease Educational Seminar
Experienced a 180%+ increase in attendance from 2019 to 2020, with over 700 guests participating in the 3-day educational event, up from approximately 250 attendees the previous year.
A nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, whose mission is to spread awareness of sickle cell anemia and support families coping with a diagnosis of the disease, hosted its annual educational seminar in 2020. This was the first virtual seminar because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 3-day event was the most successful in its 10-year history, reaching over 700 individuals worldwide, including sickle cell disease warriors, caregivers, hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, pharmaceutical representatives, and supporters.
After getting an understanding of the target audience and previous event challenges, I recommended a variety of strategies uniquely tailored to the organization’s capacity. I built numerous outreach lists of hospitals, health centers, sickle cell disease-related organizations, and media outlets that aligned with the organization’s mission and vision and could reach the target audience. I was responsible for getting the word out that even with the pandemic, the education about sickle cell disease would continue, though in a virtual format.
Healthcare Education Conference in Melbourne, Australia
Recognized for the flawless execution by the CEO, with both in-person and virtual attendees lauding the event as one of the best, eagerly anticipating the next iteration.
An internationally recognized training institute was preparing for a multi-day conference in Melbourne, Australia. The 3-day agenda included masterclasses, keynote speeches, plenary panels, workshops, and an evening networking event to highlight the release of the CEO’s highly anticipated new book.
I served as their full-service event producer, navigating time zones to ensure the event’s success. Based in Los Angeles, I effectively managed all logistics for both the in-person and virtual components in collaboration with the team in Melbourne.
Additionally, I served as the primary point of contact for sponsors and over 300 registered attendees, providing them with necessary information throughout the 3-day event. I secured and managed all required vendors, guiding them step by step to ensure they delivered on their respective scopes of work.
Beauty Brand Product Launch
Delivered an unforgettable experience for attendees, receiving accolades for the event's success from the company's founder, a renowned influencer boasting millions of followers, and other staff members.
A beauty brand in LA wanted to host an immersive launch event for a few hundred attendees to highlight the release of one of its newest product lines. The brand was working on a tight timeline when it decided in July to host the event in early September.
I served as their full-service event producer, overseeing all logistical aspects of the event. This included managing communications with vendors, ensuring proper permits for the venue, and coordinating with over 500 registered attendees. Additionally, I provided guidance on space layout and design, leading the team in sourcing creative elements to enhance the event and bring the client’s vision to life.
Given the magnitude of the company’s product launch, it was essential to transform its vision into reality and exceed its target attendee count. They envisioned not just a garden-like atmosphere but an exclusive experience meticulously crafted for their customers. I played a pivotal role in making this vision a reality, working with an external team to build a 15-foot weeping willow tree in the heart of the venue, surrounded by grass, flowers, and other greenery with strategically placed decor in different locations.
Tech Company Annual Conference
Managed and oversaw 75+ sponsors and vendors showcasing at a tech company's annual conference, with 1,500 individuals in attendance.
Successfully led the end-to-end management and onsite coordination of 75+ sponsors and vendors at a major annual conference for a tech company with over 1,500 attendees. Oversaw all pre-conference logistics, including tracking deliverables through a comprehensive project plan, confirming signage and branding compliance, and communicating key deadlines and load-in details. Served as the primary point of contact for all sponsor and vendor communications, ensuring seamless coordination and a positive experience. Provided onsite support during load-in and setup, managed crowd flow and exhibit layout, coordinated all AV and tech needs, and ensured branding, signage, and setup were aligned with event standards. Played a critical role in delivering a polished, high-impact sponsor and exhibitor experience.
