I developed a procedure to delete the records in all child tables, recursively, based on the relationships between tables and the records to be deleted in the top parent table.

Cross-platform Database Migration

I had to develop a customized strategy to allow the migration of a few clients' Oracle databases between an old, out-of-support environment to a brand new one. The trick here is that none of the servers could recognize any of the file system types that could be mounted in the other. So I developed a strategy using Linux Dd and a bunch of shell script daemons to put data files inside raw devices and then used Oracle RMAN to extract them and put in the destination location.
