Linode LKE Auto-scaler

https://github.com/meezaan/linode-k8s-autoscaler
A Kubernetes auto-scaler, which, unlike the default Kubernetes auto-scaler, scales workers nodes in advance so that when the HorizontalPodAutoscaler kicks in, there is the capacity to spin up new pods rather than having to wait for a new worker node to come up.

The project only has a provider for Linode but can be extended to support DigitalOcean, Vultr, AWS, etc.

Islamic Network

https://islamic.network
A large collection of open-source libraries, web applications, mobile applications (coming soon), and APIs used by millions of developers and users across the world. I have also built our content delivery network (CDN). Our APIs operate in three global regions and use a relational data store. On a busy day, the Islamic Network APIs can serve over 900 requests a second, and the CDN can serve over 1TB of data. Virtually every component that supports the Islamic Network ecosystem is containerized.

The various projects and libraries have hundreds of starts and forks on GitHub.

Until 2022, I have been the sole developer of the Islamic Network. Other community members are getting involved as we start work on our mobile apps.

AlAdhan API

https://aladhan.com/prayer-times-api
A prayer times API developed and deployed via fully automated pipelines on CircleCI and hosted on Kubernetes. It serves hundreds of concurrent requests, is deployed in three global regions, and uses a relational datastore and aggressive caching.
