2016 - 2018
Was hired as the first creative director at SmartBug.
Ran the creative department of five full-time designers and writers as well as 20+ freelance writers, designers, and copy editors.
Established the importance of thoughtful creativity across the organization by introducing UX design and advocating for user-centered design principles and user testing.
Created a unique brand visual style for SmartBug's rebranding that sets us apart in the inbound marketing agency space, where brands tend to look the same.
Spearheaded the site visual and UX design—conducting interviews and testing, creating user flows and personas, and designing all prototypes and comps. The site has received accolades from Awwwards.com, AVA Digital Awards, and the MarCom Awards.
Led the visual design and supervised the UX design for HumanGood's 80+ page website redesign while working closely with the UX designer, project manager, developers, and partner agencies. The client was so happy with the success of this standalone web project has since turned into a monthly retainer of $70,000.
Managed the Cox digital team of five art directors and two writers.
Led major initiatives, determined weekly resourcing, and provided feedback and design support for the team.
Managed Cox.com alongside the client, working within the CMS to design pages, make improvements and oversee updates.
Worked hand-in-hand with UX and the creative team to create an immersive experience for Cox's latest TV product, The New Contour.
Implemented custom development and video creation. The digital experience determined the look and feel for the entire 360° campaign.
Collaborated with UX, account, strategy, and the client as the lead AD redesigning order configuration, checkout, and cart for Cox.com's buy-flow redesign. This intense project included several trips to Cox headquarters in Atlanta to present work directly to the client.
Led the redesign of Cox.com's current customer experience (my account redesign). The project was a complete overhaul of the existing site and a huge initiative with stakeholders throughout the company, including the CMO.
Designed a website for a Cannes award-winning, part performance, part education initiative, Clark Street Bridge.
Designed the ads, advertorials, and special sections for a variety of businesses for all 25+ modern luxury publications across the country, including ancillary titles such as regional Interiors and Brides magazines.
