    • Prepared a roadmap for a $100 million valuation for a Medtech startup; analyzed a comparable transaction in the sector, the key drivers determining the valuations, and designed a roadmap for reaching a $100 million valuation in two to three years time.
    • Defined the growth strategy and valuation at different fundraising rounds for an insurance tech startup; the focus was on the value proposition and the go-to-market approach so that investors could be presented prudent and reasonable growth path.
    • Gave general advice for a cryptocurrency (ICO) startup on the pitch deck, the white paper, the financial model, and the prospectus; a special focus was placed on the fit between the problem, the value proposition, and the competitive advantages.
    • Conducted an oil & gas LBO analysis where the client was considering a leveraged acquisition of several companies in the oil & gas sector of the US. I analyzed the targets, estimated the restructuring opportunities, modeled the debt capacity, and provided a valuation of the companies.
    • Advised a marketplace startup on the value proposition and the general approach to creating momentum and marketplace launch. Included the financial modeling under different scenarios for service provisions.
    • Developed—for an orthopaedic startup where the existing company had substantial traction and incredible customer reviews—the growth strategy, the go-to-market approach, and the valuation for the fundraising.
    • Prepared—for an internet of things service provider—the pitch deck for a startup that enables every device for IoT connectivity. Its target clients were the OEM of different consumer products.

    • Advised the government of Bulgaria on ten public-private partnership projects—leading an international team of eight experts. The scope of work included the development of the criteria for project selections, negotiations with the relevant authorities, preparation of cost-benefit analyses, tender debt-equity, and training of staff from the involved institutions.
    • Structured and prepared the acquisition of a hotel chain with ten establishments in Romania by one of the leading European hotel groups. The scope of work included market analysis, strategic due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, negotiations support, closing support, and coordination of legal advisors.
    • Managed the leveraged buyout process of a food processing company with an EUR $25 million turnover. The scope of work included business plan preparation, identification of possible investors/financial backers, valuation, negotiations, and deal structuring.
    • Advised on a number of acquisitions totaling more than EUR $2 billion in sectors such as renewable energy, construction materials, envelopes, and a mall across Germany, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, and other countries.     • Advised on the synergy optimization for a merger of five cable operators in Spain. The scope of work included a financial modeling to reflect the merger synergies, the debt repayment capacity, and the growth opportunities—both in terms of the increase in revenues per customer as well as the new geographic market penetration.
    • Developed a value proposition, defined the strategy, and conducted feasibility studies in multiple countries for an internet-based portal of Banco Santander—the leading European commercial bank. The scope of work included a market analysis, financial modeling, and country risk assessment. Built a financial model for the internal projections and to estimate the investment amount.
    • Conducted feasibility studies in internet-focused investment projects for some of the leading IBEX 35 companies in Spain.
    • Completed a cost optimization project for one of the major IT and outsourcing service providers—including the staff restructuring, assets utilization improvement, cost controls, and monitoring.

    • Advised the government of Bulgaria on the design of its mass privatization program for the sale of more than 1,000 state-owned companies. The scope of the work included defining the overall mass privatization framework, creating the criteria for selection of the enterprises to be included in the program, the auction format, and the institutional framework for its implementation.
    • Developed and implemented pilot privatization programs in four major cities of Bulgaria. The project included the development of the selection criteria; negotiations with the local authorities, political parties and trade unions; negotiations with the companies' management to onboard them; tender document preparation; legal support coordination; and tenders implementation.
    • Advised the Ministry of Agriculture on the privatization of 26 companies, leading a team of 45 experts. The scope of work included selection criteria development, privatization plan preparation (overall and by the company), valuation, and tenders methodology preparation.
    • Created the business valuation methodology which was approved by the Counsel of Ministers. It also included training program development, together with the American Society of Appraisers, and the creation of a self-regulatory body of business appraisers.
