Digital Process for End-to-End Event Management

Led the design, supplier engagement, development, and process implementation of a digital events management process for a corporate event with 1,700+ external attendees and 500+ internal employees.

I led a diverse team of developers to implement a seamless and automated process for the company's largest in-person event in 2020 (the 21st Annual Meeting). The process included invitations, customer analytics, registration, on-site analytics, and future opportunity ROI analytics. We utilized our existing Salesforce and Marketo infrastructure alongside the embodiment of Cvent (event management software) to create and implement the process.

Key Activities:
• Led the design changes on our lead management system and processes.
• Managed development teams to integrate Cvent and Salesforce/Marketo, ensuring that real-time invitation updates and statuses were being sent back to the organization.
• Built robust registration processes for multiple customer types.
• Managed the creation of event analytics to calculate ROIs for strategic positioning of future events.
• Coordinated stakeholder management across functions, including communications, marketing, finance, and IT.
• Managed change management and training for all sales and commercial functions and employees.

Project Management of Christmas Charity Appeal

Ensured the organization and delivery of over 10,000 gifts to 4,500 children in need during the COVID-19 pandemic

Instant Charity is a local charity in North East Scotland that conducts a Christmas Giving Tree Appeal where the general public can purchase a Christmas gift for a child in need. The project lasted four months and required the planning, budgeting, marketing, communication, and team management of the Appeal. Prior to the launch of the Appeal, I was in charge of key aspects:

• A venue for sorting the gifts.
• Volunteers to help with packing gift bags for the children.
• Social media campaigns.
• Organizing the partners (local charities, support groups, and schools that helped to identify children in need) and supporters (local companies that participated and supported the appeal).

For the final six weeks, I was onsite at the sorting location, where I ensured that all the gifts donated were quarantined per government regulations, packed accordingly by partners, and delivered in enough time before Christmas.

Incremental Revenue Project Through the Largest Oil and Gas Merger

https://www.bakerhughes.com/

Co-led a global team of 5,000+ sales/commercial staff on best practices and key elements that optimized collaborative revenue growth, exceeding the 2018 business target of $400 million.

GE Oil & Gas and Baker Hughes merged in 2017 with targets established to the market. One of the targets was to identify and proactively generate new, incremental revenue through the merger of both product lines.

For the 12-month project, my role was to coordinate global workshops and forums, train all sales/commercial teams on how best to utilize existing platforms, information and data to create new forms of revenue, and provide C-suite analytics and progress reports.

The project was set up to be handed over on a regular basis to the business functions and units to continue building the new culture through the successful post-merger integration of analytics, processes, and changes. The overall project helped to open up over $2 billion in new potential sales and to create a new bonus scheme to reward individuals and teams that utilized the new methods of thinking and acting to create new revenue streams.
