Work Experience

DevOps Engineer

2023 - 2023
AppAcuity, Inc.
  • Migrated CDKTF code state files from a self-managed server to AWS cloud storage through TypeScript for multiple customers. This resulted in removing ad-hoc maintenance of the server/patching and reduced cost.
  • Designed Terraform HCL code from CDKTF distributed in several modules. Terragrunt was used to make code DRY and allow easy scalability.
  • Crafted a dedicated Bitbucket pipeline to deploy infrastructure changes orchestrated through Terraform, including security and bug scanning, execution only if valid changes are pushed, Terraform plan, and necessary approvals before applying.

Fintech App

One of the largest online platforms for working capital to help companies, their suppliers, and their customers gain greater control over their cash flow on demand when needed. I worked on developing its products and services by creating Terraform templates and Ansible playbooks for provisioning on cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP. I also developed Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions templates for CI/CD, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests. Furthermore, I managed secrets with Vault for application use and generation of temporary credentials, managed central monitoring and logging with Datadog, and developed scripts in Python or Shell to automate sanitary tasks.

Podcast App

https://harkaudio.com/
As a DevOps engineer, I built a podcast application, securing the infrastructure over the AWS cloud platform with Terraform and configuring the Amazon EKS cluster to deploy microservices with Kong as an API gateway. I also created CI/CD pipelines for Node.js projects using Jenkins, monitored infrastructure and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana, performed application logging using ELK (Elastic Stack), and completed cost optimization in the AWS cloud.

Telecom Product Platform

http://www.axiomtelecom.com
An application for delivering telecom products in UAE. I worked on securing the application's infrastructure and creating Terraform templates and Ansible playbooks for providing the application on the AWS cloud platform. I also performed infrastructure monitoring and alerting and application logging using Elastic Stack.

Car Rental App

http://www.lumirental.com/en
A car rental application in Saudi Arabia. I configured and monitored the application, created CI/CD pipelines for Maven jobs and Android and iOS apps using Jenkins, and configured the EKS cluster to deploy microservices with Kong. I also conducted monitoring and alerting of infrastructure and ensured application logging with Elastic Stack.

Fintech App for Trade Receivables Discounting Platform

A digital platform to facilitate the discount for MSMEs and provide hassle-free financing to grow. Worked on designing and setting up the back-end infrastructure for the application on AWS cloud platform. The application was designed on a serverless framework for optimized resource and cost usage. The platform passed the SOC2 compliance audit as well as VAPT.
