La Paz Trip Planner

https://github.com/antoine29/SemiFormal-TripPlanner
This application was built to demonstrate the possibility of applying the GTFS standard data format to represent La Paz city's chaotic public transport data information.

Using a developed Node.js console program, we gathered and tabulated information on public transport routes, stops, and schedules into the GTFS specification. This data was tested by developing a working trip planner application using React in the front end and an OTP as a Java back-end engine.

The project resulted in a functional trip planner web application, allowing users to visualize and make trip requests on more than fifty public routes and services.

GeoJson2GTFS

https://github.com/antoine29/geoJson2gtfs
Geojson2gtfs is a tiny shell application (written in JavaScript and distributed as an npm package) to transform a bunch of GeoJson files (describing Hail and Ride transport routes) into a GTFS data set.

This application was tested by developing by gathering information on more than fifty public routes in the city. Every route with more than 2000 coordinate points.

The project was able to generate valid GTFS data feeds. These GTFS feeds were able to work with third-party route engines (like OpenTripPlanner). Resulting in the automatization of the generation of GTFS data feeds from only GeoJson files.
