This project involved onboarding new clients to the system. As part of the process, HSBC sent various input files with the customers' data and account details. We loaded all the input files, processed transaction files, and verified the data displayed on the front end. Also, we processed records for different payment methods, verified data in the database to ensure records were updated in the appropriate tables, and made changes in the back end if it was not possible to make specific changes using the front-end systems.

British Gas approached G4S to take on meter installation activities for some British Gas standard metering work. As part of the process, British Gas would send work orders to G4S so that G4S could undertake the necessary work and then return details of the completed work to British Gas to update their systems with the returned information.

I actively participated in requirement analysis and gained clarity on business scenarios. This involved:

• Participating in technical discussions with the project team and client to understand the system implementation aspects.
• Defining and documenting the test scenarios and test cases.
• Implementing test scripts to set up test data and verify the results at the back end.
• Preparing the input files for loading jobs to be loaded into the handheld, which, in turn, triggered the survey based on the job type setup.
• Putting together data flow diagrams to represent various derived paths based on the survey definition.

The flow diagrams also helped simplify the testing process to keep track of successful scenarios and identify the scenarios that would be impacted. It informed us what procedures needed to be focused on and re-worked when something changed regarding the survey definition.
