Work Experience

Senior Front-end Developer

Royal KPN
  • Developed a UI to search, create, update, and remove addresses. This application gave the company a single source of truth on addresses used for multiple stakeholders.
  • Created a UI overviewing all current and past mobile and fixed products and discounts connected to those products. Before launching this application, all the information was within different platforms.
  • Developed a UI to check the data quality of a specific database table within the company. The application allowed users to create checks on their data that ran on a Cron schedule.
  • Acted as the solo front-end developer within three different teams and took over a role of a scrum master.
Technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue, Vite, Vue CLI, Pinia, Vuex, Docker, Express.js, Jest, Vitest, Front-end

Product Catalogue for Royal KPN

A Vue-based application gives employees an overview of all mobile and fixed products and shows all discounts and discount campaigns connected to these products. It also enhances the work speed of a group of stakeholders of around 100 employees.

Before this application, all information had to be gathered through multiple sources. When users wanted to know a single product's details, discount, and price information, they needed to fetch this from three different sources.

I was the only front-end developer from start to finish within a scrum team of seven members. I was able to choose and work with the latest tech stack.

Address Register for Royal KPN

An application in Vue visualizes all address data in the Netherlands. This application is used by multiple departments and shops needing to validate new clients' addresses and mechanics to find where their clients reside.

Besides this functionality, the application allows data owners within the company to create, update, and remove addresses. All addresses are fetched from a government instance, but some may be missing or incomplete. This functionality allows the employees who work with address data within KPN have the flexibility of modifying the data in a usable way.

I joined this team with a junior front-end developer to develop the app while sharing my knowledge with this co-worker and getting the best out of the project.

Data Quality Dashboard for Royal KPN

A Vue application that showcases the quality of multiple data streams within KPN. The UI allows users to create a set of checks from Great Expectations, write SQL queries to select the correct data, or select a table column straight from the table's metadata. The user can select a crontab pattern on which the checks will be run, choose the way they want to be notified when a check has run, and select all the users that can see the result of this run.

I was the only front-end developer in this project, having the freedom to enhance the project structure and making the learning curve as short as possible if another developer took it over.

Workspaces Reservation App for Developers House

http://www.pleqqie.nl
An application with a Vue front-end and a Node.js back-end. It aimed to gain an overview of personnel working at the office and limit the number of working spaces during the peak COVID-19 times.

I oversaw the front-end and back-end of this application. Together with a more experienced front-end developer working at the consultancy agency, we designed and modeled the whole application. The company's director acted as the main stakeholder. To this day, the application is used by Developers House and a couple of other companies within its network.

Employee Dashboard for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

An Angular dashboard application for all KLM employees to a number of personalized widgets and search in a Google-like way to find any desired information.

The widgets contained tiles like your personal work schedule, the latest news for your department, which airplanes are grounded, and so on. All these widgets are specific per department within KLM.

Within the team, I worked together with a senior front-end developer, and we implemented Scrum as the development methodology.
