• Scripts for generating test data with hundreds of thousands of rows.
• Source files with tens of thousands of rows with test data about logins and marketing leads.
• Source file with an accurate real-world country to IP address mapping.
• A DDL script for the data warehouse database and tables.
• Twenty ETL jobs and transformations altogether orchestrating the load of the data warehouse; the processes included exception handling and logging, monitoring and tracking ETL metadata, assurance that they were restartable without data loss or duplication, support for an upsert execution, and could load nearly a million records in less than a minute.
• Parameter files with all connection details and other variables so the solution can easily be ported across environments.
• All the required reports—handy and ready to run SQL queries.
The whole project took me about 15 hours to complete.
