WorkRamp wanted to completely revamp its platform design to foster growth and attract new, high-profile enterprise clients.

WorkRamp built a highly functional product that satisfied core pain points for its customers; however, they wanted to take their design to the next level to scale and support expansion into the enterprise space.

Co-Founder Ted Blosser worked with Toptal Director of Design Andrew Graunke to find a designer who could revamp and enhance their product and styling guidelines on a quick timeline. Most importantly, they wanted to find someone who had both enterprise and consumer expertise and could bring the best of both worlds together to provide an unparalleled user experience.

Toptal Lead Designer Benoît Chabert integrated seamlessly into the WorkRamp team and revamped their entire platform.

In a design sprint, lead designer Benoît Chabert revisited virtually every part of the WorkRamp user experience. Working closely with Ted, he provided expert guidance that would help WorkRamp clients get the most out of the platform.

The project’s initial focus was to provide general feedback and design direction. Given Benoît’s ability to dive in quickly and become fully integrated on the team, the scope quickly expanded, encompassing a deep analysis and revamp of how customers use the product day to day.

Within two weeks, Benoît provided designs and style guidelines for each major portion of their product. In his design, he balanced creating an engaging experience for end users, while still providing the powerful and intricate functionality that admins needed.

Benoît integrated seamlessly into the WorkRamp team and went out of his way to make sure they had everything they needed. His clear communication and transparent working style through Slack, Zoom, and Trello empowered the entire team to work faster and more efficiently. With Toptal, the design effort proved more comprehensive and easier than WorkRamp ever envisioned.

The new platform design empowered WorkRamp to grow faster than ever and acquire significant new funding.

After implementing the new design, sales for the product increased dramatically. By bringing on new customers like Vidyard, Fivestars, and Optimizely, WorkRamp fueled their growth with more than $2M in new funding from Slack, Y Combinator, Alexis Ohanian, and Joe Montana.
