Fractional CTO

Managed the engineering team and drove them to deliver on an innovative and ambitious product roadmap.

I served as the fractional CTO for a sustainable development platform, including a mobile app, website, content management system, data analytics, and machine learning logic

I managed a team of eight engineers, one designer, and one project manager and drove them to deliver on an innovative and ambitious product roadmap to refactor the app, develop the platform, and to enhance sensor data and machine learning models.

International Native Maps App

Led the team that built a new native maps app for a manufacturer's new core OS and various mobile platforms.

This project covered the creation of a new maps app—under a totally new OS and UX—to be deployed in 100 countries and needed to support 20 languages.

I led the team working on this project (approximately 80 people of which 60 were developers) and brought it to launch within a year, which was an exceptional achievement given the parameters of the project.

Marketing Automation Platform

Led the product development of a marketing automation platform (based on core data) and rolled out to over 60 clients.

This project aimed to leverage the company's core transactional and engagement data to allow for more precise targeting of emails and push notifications to end-users.

I led the definition and rollout of the platform that enabled marketers to create target lists from our data and automatically generate marketing assets from our content management system.

This project became a tool generating more than 300 million emails per year and tens of millions of dollars in attributed revenue.

Mobile SDKs

Led product design and development for multiple mobile SDKs integrated into over 20 client apps.

I led the development of three mobile SDKs that package a number of our APIs to offer core functionality to be embedded into client apps and included the screens and UX that was customizable to allow for native app branding.

These SDKs were integrated into over 20 clients' apps while working with ten different vendors to service our clients' mobile needs and enhance their apps with killer-app features.

Refactoring of Core APIs

Led the product development of new APIs to meet the enhanced needs of our technical partners and allow our platform to scale.

I led the development of brand-new APIs to replace the legacy APIs which had not been built to scale (one of our technical integration with an external partner required thousands of transactions to be processed per second on game day). I also defined the feature set of the APIs as well as the performance metrics and influenced tech design to allow for scale.
