Project History

Scrum Master and Agile Coach for a Scaled Scrum Project

Acted as the scrum master of two teams and agile coach of a third team, all distributed and under the same project and product. I successfully guided them through their Agile adoption and maturity path.

I joined the program as the scrum master of a development team that had never worked with Agile before. My main responsibility was helping them adopt Scrum successfully and improve their development process.

Encouraged by the positive results, the program brought more members to the team, up to the point I needed to divide it into two Scrum teams and started to implement scale Agile practices to serve this new program reality.

Later, a third Scrum team joined the program, and I became the agile coach and scrum master.

After more than one year with these three Scrum team's strategies, each team works independently, focusing on their sprint commitments towards a common sprint goal.

eCommerce Company, Agile Migration

Defined and led the Agile adoption strategy for one of the key teams.

I joined a fraud prevention development team that intended to move from Waterfall to Agile. After a preliminary analysis, I determined that the best approach for this team and its reality was to adopt Scrum.

Also, I conducted training on Scrum basics, and then we were ready to start with sprint 0. We focused on Scrum ceremonies, their benefits, and how to leverage them to address the team's pain points.

After a couple of iterations, the team started to feel comfortable with this new approach and successfully adopted the Scrum framework, delivering value earlier and even improving their product quality.

QA Automation POC

Designed and implemented the very first automation test suite in a company with no previous experience under this technology.

In my early days as an automation test engineer, I joined a team that constantly tested a critical application manually. Since I had a software development background, I offered to implement a proof of concept (POC) for automation testing.

Soon, the company provided me with Microsoft Coded UI Framework training to increase my knowledge of the desired technology.

I worked with people who were more interested in understanding the best use case and scenario for implementing this POC.

A few weeks later, I was able to demo the first version of this testing approach, which was widely accepted.

Since that milestone, the company has hired more people to join the recently formed automation test team, with me as the lead.
