A React-based web application that helps Upgrade Education, an edtech startup, match, connect, and evaluate students and mentors. The user applies to Upgrade Education, and then Agora finds a mentor based on their learning style, preferences, hobbies, and other parameters.

After the matching, the student can meet their mentor via Agora's Jitsi-based videoconferencing platform or message them directly via the PubNub-based chat interface. Whenever the user is unsatisfied with their mentor, i.e., rates their mentor three stars out of five, the customer success department gets an instant notification alongside the student's contact information to keep the service quality at the highest standards.

Agora might have come out of a necessity during the pandemic, but it led to the international expansion of Upgrade Education and helped them reach an industry-leading NPS of 70.

Sesizez—roughly translated as complaining in English—is a FOSS React Native app that helps citizens from the most prominent Romanian cities send complaints to their local authorities about illegally parked cars, subpar public transit, unsafe pedestrian crossings, and other irregularities.

The application locates the user and then looks up the address using the OpenStreetMap API. Afterward, the application determines which authorities to direct that message to based on location and the type of complaint and pre-fills the body of a new email with that information and a template for that specific complaint type.
