The legacy trading systems from third-party vendors were costly, with high maintenance fees for vendor support and upgrade services. As the core services were hosted on the vendor side, the access and integration with in-house applications were over-complex, and scaling was inefficient.

I worked with the stakeholders and the scrum team to develop the product roadmap, create business plans, perform gap analysis, add new features, and redesign workflows.

This was a big project with more than 50 subprojects. Even though the team was understaffed due to the department reorganization, I successfully delivered the projects I led with high quality three months before the schedule.

The credit check and risk measurement are crucial parts of trade pricing and execution. The system then used by the bank was not quick enough for certain bank products to stay ahead of their competitors.

I worked with the sales, traders, and scrum teams to launch a new system for limit checks and risk measurements, which effectively reduced the delay in credit checks by 30%. I also ensured the historical issues were resolved and new valuable features for the business were added to the system.

There was a high demand for liquid, offshore NDF markets. If the bank didn't provide the service to trade NDF, it would lose its market share to its competitors.

I implemented end-to-end product solutions from trade submission to straight-through processing (STP) for trading NDF on five MTFs. There was a big challenge—the quote requests of specific MTFs' currency pairs could not be priced or executed due to incompatibility with the bank's existing systems. I identified the issue early and worked with the vendors to solve it quickly.

The project increased the bank's revenue and helped it gain a competitive advantage.

The deadline for financial regulations MiFID II was Jan 2018. Financial institutions that were not compliant with the regulation would face penalties and monetary loss.

I led multiple projects to enhance Reuters sell-side trading system and its peripheral products used by various banks to comply with financial regulations MiFID II. The projects generated $1 million in revenue with an additional $72,000 of change request revenue.
