I worked in a team who developed a search engine on Garimpar.

I was on the team that was responsible for suggesting features to make the search results better. The system basically had a URL database, the crawler, and the search database. They were distributed across machines and "talked" to each other using XMLRPC. The entire system was created using Python.

When the C&A company released Kim Kardashian's clothing collection in Brazil, they needed a social network monitor and a tool to automatically publish some of these posts on their website after passing inspection.

Within a single day of the collection's release, thousands of posts were sent via Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I worked on the application to monitor the social networks. The posts were displayed to the admin where a team of editors could review the posts before they were published. I also developed a scalable REST API which was responsible for displaying the last moderated results for each social network for the campaign site which received lots of requests during that day.
