Experience

  • Freedombase Web toolkit, Award, and Patent

I developed the Freedombase Web toolkit by combining cognitive psychology, and database and compiler design, creating a toolkit that understood data and performed much of the build for the developer. I also wrote a patent for the core component, which was granted in four countries. The toolkit won an award for innovation.

  • MyWork Integration

MyWork is a Web portal and mobile application that allow remote access and updating of jobs and data within the existing in-house system. I designed the integration to successfully meet all conflicting requirements. This included fully applying all back-end business rules, applying security and access rules, and supporting multiple updates of different versions of the same data from different sources at the same and at different times while still retaining the most business-sensible version of the data.

  • Cargo Cloud Application

Cargo Cloud is a startup company. I designed the full stack for the Cargo Cloud application and built most of it, including an extensible translator to convert data between EDIFACT and JSON format, the database structure inside MySQL in AWS, Web services in Python in AWS, and the React-based front end.
