Front-end Developer

2019 - 2019
Virtual Realty, LLC (via Toptal)
  • Implemented an interactive search for the users to be able to see properties for sale based on bounds given by the search term with the help of Google Maps. This would update each listing based on the position of the map you're on and based on how many properties can be seen in your viewport of the current map.
  • Created the interface for the user registration flows, where a user could be registered as a buyer a seller or a realtor, each having his own flow. The most complex was the seller where a user had to follow a specific flow and fill in a complex but easy form in order to be registered as a seller, a form which would search in previous listing databases if that property was listed and pre-fill itself if it was the case, to maximize user retention on the page.
  • Created most of the core functionality using Vue.js and Vuex to communicate with the back end.

  • Transformed designs into functional and reusable components using React and HTML. Wrote clean and modular SCSS and made the site PWA ready and optimized it for maximum performance.
  • Used a CSS framework to implement the designs and built a specific guideline to follow for design and development. This framework was Bulma.io, which is a fast-growing CSS framework with a mobile-first orientation.

Goldmarie & Friends (via STR8MINDS)

https://goldmarie-friends.de
A React-based marketing site with headless WordPress as a CMS and a GraphQL API handling the communication.

I've been attributed to monitor and advise on the project's design phase, ensuring client needs are completely covered. I've led and worked on the development phase, respecting the deadline and ensuring quality and performance are met after every sprint.

Since the rebuild, we've seen 54% raise in leads and inquiries.

Torchlite.com

https://torchlite.com
Torchlite is an exclusive network of administrators, solution consultants, designers, and developers specializing in building and optimizing cross-cloud marketing solutions. At Torchlite, using my advanced React skills, and my amazing UI/UX skills, I was attributed with the responsibility of delivering the designs into functional, reusable components based on mock data. In some cases, my static architecture would then be taken over by the back-end team and represent the foundation of the actual API and architecture of the project.

Nettbil.no

https://nettbil.no
A fast-growing online car dealership that hosts auctions for Norwegian car dealers. It has an amazing dashboard with live updates and live bidding. It also hosts an amazing car valuation process, for which I've built the front end.

Virtual Realty

Virtual Realty is a US-based startup, a real estate platform where a user can also do a virtual tour of any properties listed through our platform that have uploaded a 3D tour. A user can list their property using an automated listing flow, which checks if the property was already listed and brings that info into our platform to help the user finish the flow smoothly and fast. A user can buy a property using our cloud-based search engine, which looks at specific criteria on the maps API, and visually lists all properties for sale in that area.

My responsibilities in this project were translating the UX/UI into working, semantic, and interactive components in Vue and bringing to life the communication between the API and the front end. I created all the user flows and the JavaScript interactions required by these. Also, I created and contributed to creating all the front-end logic for the UX and the site's architecture. Styling was made using SCSS, resulting in a robust codebase and a fully responsive page.

Jira was used as the PM platform. We've functioned as a team under the Scrum methodology.

Version control was assured by Bitbucket.

Music Against Animal Cruelty

https://savethemwithsound.org
At SaveThemWithSound, or as they are known in the music industry MAAC (music against animal cruelty), I've put together a small team of a designer, a developer (me), and an SEO specialist to help them out, mostly free of charge or pro-bono in their case, to combat cruelty against animals throughout the world.

I've been maintaining their site in Squarespace with minor and medium-sized tasks (none of which took more than a couple of days of work). Right now, I'm putting together an action plan for my team to do a bigger pro-bono job, to move the whole site from Squarespace to WordPress and build a custom theme that looks similar to the one they have now, with major improvements to the layout and the SEO. The main reason is to provide them the possibility to auto-sustain themselves and the site, not having to pay anybody else to maintain the content on the site.

Lostparadise.com.au

https://lostparadise.com.au
Lostparadise is a four-day festival in Sydney, the main purpose of this website is to sell tickets for the festival and share every bit of information for users including artists and experiences.

ImoExpert is a subdivision of Imobiliare.ro, one of Romania's largest online real-estate companies. ImoExpert was created to simplify getting in touch with a real estate expert to receive legal or non-legal advice.

We've created the platform which provides the possibility to blog, post questions and give answers, reach out to experts, create guides, and many more.

I was responsible for leading the front-end development team, creating and managing tasks, and implementing the UI and UX based on high-fidelity prototypes.
