LuxIPS is a fintech startup with an extremely unique and innovative approach to helping its users be more successful financially. The project had stalled and Lux reached out to Toptal to provide a fresh pair of eyes. Alex led the team through a series of exercises to help them understand the value of their business, its stakeholders, and the value proposition they intend to offer. Alex then helped the team translate this value into functional deliverables via a product and architectural roadmap

I reworked the company's SDLC to adopt modern Agile practices by transitioning from a high waterfall environment. This change involved aligning multiple teams across several geographies to require the accommodation of future state microservice products.
Remediation of Corrupted Investment Accounts
Designed and led the remediation engine delivery to calculate compensation for around 15,000 investors.
Aviva's administration system became corrupted due to poor administration and deficient systems. The regulator forced them to cease using the system and migrate to a new platform to stop the flow of issues. However, the problem financially impacted most investors by an unknown amount. To remedy this, I proposed a solution to replicate the instructions to a calculation engine we would build and assess the delta between the actual and calculated positions.
Over two years, I constructed a roadmap based on required investor functionality to allow performing the calculations. Upon the roadmap agreement, I switched to a product owner role to build the calculations, collaborating in detail with the development teams.

"The Path To Live" was a six-year program designed to move Fidelity's UK wealth management clients to a new platform. After two years, the project effectively stalled and needed someone to add a further propel. I joined the program with dual responsibilities. Firstly, to product manage the Sonata roadmap, Bravura's wealth management software, and secondly, to act as a solution architect to meet the stakeholder key requirements. Over four years, I developed a product roadmap to periodically release functionality and enable the migration of various cohorts of clients. Upon conclusion, over one million accounts were successfully migrated, representing the most significant migration in the UK.
