Project History
Multi-Stage Review Process
Led the product strategy and design of a feature that allowed multiple custom review processes for a single submission.
The multi-stage review feature made it possible for an organization to have multiple rounds of review for different people or teams. The review stages included custom review criteria and could be assigned to different people for review. Every aspect of this product was customizable, from the number of stages per review workflow to the review questions and criteria. Users could add weighted questions to the review form and hide the submitter's name and other information from reviewers to remove bias.
This feature was highly complex because it touched every aspect of the platform. It was a considerable effort, and it is one of the features that I am most proud of because of its huge and positive impact on our customers.
Advanced Reporting
Led the product strategy and design of a robust reporting tool.
The advanced reporting product is an in-app consolidated data center that can run reports to analyze data, identify insights and trends, create charts, and measure an organization's impact and results.
Many organizations needed a way to run reports on programs they execute and compare data from month to month or year to year. To accomplish this effectively, I prioritized a data visualization tool that allowed our users to quickly and easily build graphs on the platform with the ability to save and export them if needed. The product also allows users to run calculations and save views updated in real-time.
The advanced reporting product is one of the more complex products I have built since we needed to license aspects from a third party and embed them into the platform for a seamless user experience.
Media Gallery
Led the design and development of a media gallery that allows users to view, filter, and sort media content and vote on their favorite submissions.
The media gallery product was used by media companies and organizations that wanted a way for the public to be part of the review process and vote on media submissions. For example, a photography contest could be held via the media gallery as a way for a company to gather user-generated content. Contestants could upload their photos to a form that would then be displayed on a public page alongside all the other contestants' photos for anyone to vote on.
One feature that made this product especially powerful and versatile was the ability to filter media submissions by the submitter's response to a question on the submission form. For example, if I was a contestant, I could upload a photograph and select my genre from a dropdown, say "landscapes." The same genre options would be available on the media gallery for users to filter by. Companies using this product could decide what single or multi-select questions to add as filters to their media gallery from their submission form.
