SOLUTION
To address these shortcomings, my team and I introduced a modernized Smart Catalog. It incorporates state-of-the-art features built using contemporary web technologies, primarily Salesforce LWC. This transformation significantly improved the user experience and performance and introduced advanced functionalities like product recommendations and comparisons.

The project leveraged a diverse range of cutting-edge technologies. These included Salesforce LWC, Apex, optimized API calls, a composable architecture, Lightning Data Service, event-driven communication between Visualforce and LWC, the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS), Heroku, Elastic, Apttus CPQ, and Google Analytics. This comprehensive tech stack was pivotal in delivering a resilient and highly efficient solution.
Advanced Custom Cart
The Apttus cart performance was suboptimal, with sales representatives spending 50% of their time struggling with its sluggishness. Moreover, the cart's user interface presented usability challenges.
SOLUTION
To rectify this, I developed a custom cart application. This application allows users to easily configure their carts, ensuring a user-friendly experience with significantly enhanced performance.
I implemented Heroku Connect to establish a seamless connection between Salesforce and Heroku. Also, I created a web application on Heroku and a corresponding web service to access Heroku data within the Salesforce environment.
Also, in the proof of concept, I demonstrated the integration between Salesforce and Microsoft Teams, highlighting the project's ability to integrate with external platforms seamlessly.

Order Change Process

My team and I developed a custom application that empowers sales representatives to modify orders and seamlessly push new items to the Enterprise Output Management (EOM) system to address this limitation.

Largecart and Multiple Price List Deal Hub
The existing Apttus cart had limitations, only allowing the configuration of 150 – 250 line items per quote and permitting just one price list per quote.
SOLUTION
To overcome these constraints, my team and I introduced a custom application called Largecart. This innovative solution now allows for configuring over 1,000 line items per quote. Furthermore, we extended the Largecart implementation to the multiple price list (MPL) DealHub, allowing the creation of multiple quotes under one parent deal, each with its price list.

CPQ Turbo Config
The performance of Apttus API and systems was significantly affected by the reliance on both server and client-side operations, resulting in performance bottlenecks and heap size issues.
SOLUTION
To address this challenge, my team and I opted for a comprehensive solution involving the migration of all data to Azure and establishing data access through APIs. The next step involved a system-wide upgrade of the CPQ system to synchronize with Azure APIs seamlessly.
