Using usage data, identified global search as the most utilized and impactful capability in our product, while also realizing the extreme database load of the homegrown solution. Identified Elasticsearch as the best solution, then migrated millions of data rows to the new service, enabling deeper search capabilities throughout the product, and allowing customers access to more of their own data throughout the product.

Custom Calendar Implementation and Integration

Identified core competency gap with existing product line existing in 25% of new deals lost as well as a 20% driver of churn. This virtually disappeared once we launched the new calendar with integrations to Google and Outlook.

We created a custom calendar for the legal product to provide a seamless experience within the practice management platform and its supporting features and ensure the confidentiality of important calendar events. This created a challenge with connection to generally used calendars, which we ultimately implemented a one-to-many integration to serve customer needs across their organizations better. This included problem definition, precise analysis of what integrations could offer us juxtaposed to the actual customer problem and our real business constraints. Presented to senior leadership and had a budget approved for one development team based on the impacts on the top line and bottom-line growth.
