Greetings everyone,

My name is Stephen “Stepto” Toulouse, and I am the new Head of Community at Toptal. At Toptal we believe very strongly in how we join each other and work together to create amazing solutions for our clients. In the coming weeks I greatly look forward to sharing more with you about new opportunities for growth, camaraderie, and team work.

Today however we felt it appropriate to share with you some sad news, because community in many ways is more than just how we share solutions or solve problems.

Community is made up of individuals and one of our own, Matthew Osborne, has passed away unexpectedly.

Matthew Osborne

Matthew Osborne

At the age of 28 and already a top software designer and developer specializing in languages from JavaScript to SQL, platforms from AWS to Magento, and a long list of frameworks and methodologies, Matthew was very popular with clients and his peers. His website at Matthewosborne.com hosts a litany of testimonials and proof as to his abilities in providing solutions to challenging issues. He had a history of both seizing and providing opportunities through his company Pro Site Builders.

Hailing from the Georgia region of the Southern United States, Matthew was active in his church and the community as a young man through the American Boy Scouts program (attaining the extremely rare badge of Eagle Scout).

The Toptal community can express their condolences by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com under Matthew’s name in the Obituaries section.

The Toptal community is an amazing group of individuals who come together to create something far greater than the sum of our parts. While we celebrate our ability to create together and solve problems together today, and think about the excitement of the future, we also felt it was altogether fitting to remember one of our own who has passed on.

We want to express our deepest condolences to Matthew’s family.
