Laurence is Toptal’s Senior Writer for Technology and Software. A former analyst at Google and ITA Software and researcher at Bell Communications Research and Verizon Laboratories, he now writes about the intersection of technology, business, and design. Laurence has five patents for AI and internet applications and a master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University.

Susanne is a product designer specializing in lean UX, interactive media, and front-end development. She has extensive experience working with clients in AI, aviation, and healthcare and serves as a product design consultant for Lantum, a workforce management platform used by the National Health Service.

Emily is a UX writer and editor whose work has been featured in UX Magazine, Usability Geek, Justinmind, and other noteworthy publications.

Gints is a fintech product designer with deep financial expertise and a decade of experience designing websites, trading platforms, dashboards, and mobile apps for fintech companies, banks, forex, and crypto trading companies around the world.

Abigail is a veteran of Pratt Institute and Columbia Business School, where she oversaw the design and production team for Columbia Business magazine. Her work has appeared in the New York Times and been heard on NPR.

Beatriz Garcia de Prado is a UI/UX designer and branding expert who has worked for clients such as ABN AMRO, Ahold Delhaize, Dutch transport company Broshuis, and aperitif maker Haus. She is the former creative director of EMN & OLLA The Agency, and former managing director and art director of EMN in Bahrain. She is also the co-founder and art director of the luxury table linen brand Prado y Barrio.

Damir is a digital designer who has created payments systems at Booking.com, open-data portals for Australian state governments, and the search experience at Envato Market. He has also facilitated design sprint workshops at Harvard University, been a lead UX instructor at General Assembly, and led AR/VR design at Archimedes Digital.
